Mayoral Tree Planting

To celebrate Schools Tree Day on Friday 25 July, Goulburn Public School had the pleasure of welcoming Cr Bob Kirk to plant a Banksia Tree with our School Leaders.

Schools Tree Day provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn about sustainability and the environment while actively contributing to the beautification of their school grounds and the wider community. This initiative also supports Council's broader goal of enhancing the green canopy within our local government area.

Imagine Live Stage Show Excursion

Kindergarten, Year 1, and Year 2 students visited the Goulburn Performing Arts Centre to enjoy Imagine Live, a live performance inspired by Alison Lester’s beloved book Imagine. The show captivated students with its creative use of digital puppetry, face recognition technology, animation, original music, and interactive storytelling.

Blending the book’s natural environments with a playful home setting, the performance followed a touching video call between a granddaughter and her grandmother. With projection screens, oversized props, and talented live performers, the story came to life in a magical way. Our students were thoroughly engaged, leaving with smiles, laughter, and a renewed love for storytelling.

Premier's Spelling Bee

Thursday Term 2 week 6, students from Years 3 to 6 participated in the school rounds of the Premier's Spelling Bee. A big congratulations to all participants for their efforts in this exciting competition! Special recognition goes to Grace, who won the 3-4 competition, and Jasmine, who triumphed in the 5-6 competition. Both students will now represent our school at the regional level against peers from other schools in Term 3. Best of luck to Grace and Jasmine!
